Very interesting, lots of space to run around and explore with the kids

Beautiful place. In the summer a great place for a picnic. Stunning views and such a strong and deep history

Not an awful lot to do here other than soak up the atmosphere. Would be better in fine whether I think. Nice place to take a picnic maybe. Best visited with an English Heritage headset, even then I thought the audio could be improved upon.

We really found this site interesting! Adults and children will enjoy wondering the Roman fort. There is an entrance fee for anyone that is not a member of the English Heritage, but it is affordable and worth a visit. Where you buy a ticket, there is an informative small museum that helps explain the history of this site. When inside the fort, there are helpful plaques dotted around giving you some insight to the different architectural structures. If you want you can also get an audio tour or a booklet(for a price). However, we found that there was enough information from the museum and the posts.

Great place to visit. We were on our way to Dover Castle but the traffic was horrific so we back tracked to Richborough Fort which is very much worth a visit. I would advise buying the guide book as it gives you more insight as you walk around 2 thousand year old ruins.Very pleased we visited and would recommend.
