I heard about this chip shop by Mickey Clarke on his wake up to money show. As I had only ever driven through Sandwich I thought I would make a day of visiting the town and using this chippy in the evening. So I was aware that the chippy was there. It does not make itself obvious. The shop is along the quayside with ample parking. There are public toilets opposite the shop but they seem to have early closing times. The shop is small with a low ceiling but surprisingly I saw a sign for upstairs seating but I did not venture up the stairs. Prices were reasonable, I expected higher prices because of the tourists visiting. The fish is presented in a box which was a plus. The fish size was OK but the quality was outstanding. The batter is beautiful, crispy yet melts in your mouth. Not too greasy. The fish is served with skin which some may dislike. The chips I loved dry and crispy. They do not serve gravy. The curry sauce is good. I was sceptical that this chippy would not be as good as Peters in Gillingham, but it has superseded it. This is my best chippy in Kent.

This Sandwich(the town) establishment and the sister fish and chip shop/restaurant at Folkestone I can highly recommend. The owners are friendly and welcoming and the fish and chips are superb. The fish is fresh, not frozen, and the chips are always beautifully crisp due in part to the keen buying of the proprietor who is very selective on quality.

Brilliant Fish and Chip shop. Always busy, so food is generally fresh. Best fish and chips I've had! Loved the customer service and friendliness. Would recommend to all. 10/10

Well priced at 10 for haddock, chips and a pie takeaway. The staff were friendly and the queue moved very quickly. The pie crust was firm and tasty not squishy, the fish was a little small but there were size options on the menu so I believe I could have ordered a bigger fish but it wasnt needed, the batter was crispy and flavoursome and the fish was delicious very well cooked. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, yum.We will be returning to tryout the restaurant.

Great Chip shop, only does traditional proper chippy meals which means no faffing about with other stuff and they concentrate on good traditional fish n chips etc. Freshly cooked- watched it. Loads of chips and good size chips too. A little more expensive than at home but worth it .....yum !!
